Pitcher of Quantum

Pitcher of Quantum is our newest event that invites students and researchers to apply their science communication skills in vibrant settings like festivals, cafés, and pubs! This unique initiative allows quantum scientists to transform complex scientific concepts into accessible narratives. Our signature feature is the interactive audience engagement, including games like quizzes where participants could win gifts. In just three minutes, each presentation aims to reveal the presenter’s unique personality while igniting curiosity, illustrating real-world impacts, and making the audience to think, “I actually get this!”

Just like all our events, this session is available online or in person. We recommend a 1-hour format, but we are happy to customize the duration to fit your needs. Additionally, we can tailor this concept to any scientific or technological theme of your choice.

In 2025, Pitcher of Quantum was featured at the Aarhus Festuge, one of Scandinavia’s largest cultural events, effectively bringing quantum science to a diverse audience. Additionally, it has been officially recognized on UNESCO’s International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ) Events Calendar and received co-funding from DigiQ, one of our collaborative EU projects.
