Our "Conflict Management" workshop focuses on equipping participants with the skills and strategies needed to effectively navigate and resolve conflicts in various settings. The session begins with a deep dive into the origins and causes of conflicts, particularly those stemming from structural systems in academia and society. Participants engage with theatrical performances that illustrate real-life conflicts between PhD students and their supervisors. By the end of the workshop, attendees gain immersive insights into these conflicts and walk away with practical strategies to manage them, fostering collaboration and understanding.

Just like all our workshops, this session is available online or in person. We recommend a 2-hour format to optimize the experience, but we are happy to customize the duration to meet your needs.

We conducted this workshop in Berlin in August 2024 at The Berlin School of Optical Sciences and Quantum Technologies (BOS:QT) retreat, engaging students and their supervisors in meaningful conflict resolution strategies.
